Slow fashion, made with intention

Every balm wears piece is crafted slowly and thoughtfully. Because we make in small batches, it can take up to 7 working days for your order to be processed before it’s shipped. We know you’re excited to receive your piece — and how good is it to know you’re supporting something that’s better for people and the planet? Our team is paid above fair wages, works in a happy environment, and isn’t pushed to overproduce - all thing balm wears are created slowly and consciously.

Bali is a place rich in culture and tradition, with many beautiful religious holidays throughout the year. These sacred moments can occasionally cause production delays. They’re a part of what makes each balm wears piece so special — made slowly, with care and respect. If extra delays happen, we’ll let you know right away.

 



Shipping details

All orders are shipped from Bali, Indonesia, with love. As a small business, we’re always learning how to get your pieces to you in the best and most affordable way.

  • Free express shipping on orders over $295 USD — thank you for the extra love and support

  • All US shipments are sent DDP - this means no surprise taxes or duties upon arrival, we cover them all for you

  • International orders (excluding the US) may incur duties or taxes during customs clearance. balm wears is not responsible for these additional fees unless stated otherwise at checkout. If you choose not to pay these fees, we’re unable to offer a refund. Please check with your local customs office if you’d like more details about taxes in your country.
  • Our shipments are sent out twice a week to reduce carbon emissions (and because we’re big believers in doing things mindfully)

 

We’ll always keep you in the loop so you know when to expect your slowly made goods.

 



Returns & exchanges

We do not offer refunds unless an item is deemed faulty. We happily accept exchanges or store credit on unworn pieces within 10 days of delivery.

  • Sale and custom pieces are final sale

  • Customers are responsible for shipping and handling costs to return items

  • Please email info@balmwears.com to start an exchange — we’ll guide you through the steps.

  • For sanitary reasons, all earrings are final sale.
