Who We Are

balm wears is a vintage-inspired, seasonless slow fashion label founded in Bali in 2021. We create long-lasting pieces designed to bring joy to those who wear them, while supporting the people who make them. Every garment is thoughtfully made on the island, from design to dyeing to stitching, with care and intention.

How We Produce

All of our pieces are made in small, family-run workshops close to home in Bali. Our head tailor works alongside family and friends from his village, some of whom began with no sewing experience and have grown into skilled artisans who now craft our most intricate designs.

Our knitwear is hand-loomed by a husband-and-wife duo we helped establish their own workshop, while our footwear is made by old friends of our head tailor, carefully shaped from leather and carved wood. By keeping everything within a short ride of each other, our footprint stays small and our community stays at the heart of what we do.

Our Commitment

We produce in small batches, repurpose off-cuts, and use earth-conscious materials wherever possible. Makers are paid well above fair wages, and with every balm wears purchase, a tree is planted here in Indonesia through One Tree Planted.
